Your car can be given a complete overhaul. Anything from its speed and handling to its appearance can be customized today. If you have seen racer movies like The Fast and the Furious, Need for Speed or any similar movie, you will know of different mods that can change the way your car looks or performs.
One of the most popular mods seen in the world of street racing is Nitrous Oxide injectors, also known as NO2.
What is NO2?
Seen usually in movies or in racing games like Need for Speed, Driver or the newly released Driveclub, NO2 mod allows the driver to get a boost by pressing mere button. While it does propel the car at the speed of a rocket, the control must be compromised to earn the thrust.
What NO2 Does?
NO2 boosts up the engine by providing extra availability of Oxygen combustion. With engine getting more oxygen to work with, it becomes more efficient for a short period of time.
Is it Legal?
The legality of Nitrous Oxide modification rests upon the laws prevalent in your region. If you are seriously considering this cool customization, it might be a good idea to check with local and state authorities before your trip to the mod-guy.
Is it Safe?
NO2 is not anywhere near as dangerous as portrayed in the media but it can be damaging in the wrong hands. Any driver who is new, unfamiliar with NO2 or just using it to break speed limit at highways can be a threat.
However, the chemical is not hazardous to human and it will not cause the engine to explode. This is the same gas used by doctors as anesthetic and this is the same thing we know as laughing gas.
